Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a senior technical authority within the Loyalty & Virality tribe, setting architectural direction, driving technical excellence, and mentoring engineers across the team.
•Define and drive the technical strategy for the referral and virality platform, ensuring systems are flexible, resilient, and scalable across HelloFresh brands and markets.
•Take end-to-end ownership of the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of the Share squad’s microservices.
•Champion the adoption of AI in the squads and machine learning across the tribe to enable personalization, predictive engagement, and intelligent reward optimization.
•Collaborate within an autonomous, cross-functional agile team with product owners, engineers, designers, and BI teams; communicate effectively across the organization to align technical priorities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 150,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Strong experience with microservice architecture, event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and distributed architectural patterns.
•Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, as well as CI/CD practices.
•Proficiency with relational and document databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB.
•AI proficiency and advocacy, with hands-on familiarity with AI technologies and ML-driven product features or AI-assisted development workflows.
•Proficiency or hands-on production experience in Golang or Python.
