Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons for baby and pre-school learners.
  • •Follow the Swim England learn to swim framework to build confidence and progression.
  • •Support swimmers as they develop skills, including progression toward competitive swimming where applicable.
  • •Contribute to ongoing training and personal development through CPDs and the Aquatic Training Academy.
  • •Work flexible casual teaching hours around your other commitments.

Key Requirements

  • •Provide excellent customer service and work confidently with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • •Hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (previously ASA) Level 2.
  • •Be able to deliver safe, fun, progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England learn to swim framework.
  • •Have (or be willing to gain) relevant teacher safety qualifications such as RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers (advantageous).
  • •Be prepared for a DBS check, as required for many roles.
