Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive consistent export classification processes globally, developing classification decision rationale, heuristics, and methodology for product types.
  • •Use AI and data analytics to perform risk-mitigated jurisdiction and classification determinations and improve capacity and accuracy.
  • •Deploy and maintain J/C training curricula and methodologies to meet enterprise cost and performance metrics.
  • •Oversee the J/C monitoring program, expanding monitoring, testing, and reporting to support surveillance of the program.
  • •Partner with internal stakeholders to obtain classification information and maintain organized supporting records; support inquiries, audits, and investigations as required.

Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •10+ years of relevant experience in export classification, trade compliance engineering, or a closely related technical compliance discipline.
  • •Deep expertise in the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), including classifications for aerospace systems, electronics, computers, encryption technology, and navigational hardware.
  • •Demonstrated ability to evaluate nuanced, often intangible technical and regulatory factors in complex, high-stakes challenges.
  • •Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
