Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure appropriate SEN, EAL, and G&T quality provision, including attainment and progress for identified students.
  • •Create, monitor, and review SS policies and procedures; maintain registers for students requiring support and exam/assessment accommodations.
  • •Oversee day-to-day SEN operations, track targeted student progress, and support identification through individual assessments and screening.
  • •Design, coordinate, and implement interventions and IEPs; lead and document lesson/student observations and reports as required.
  • •Line manage and mentor SEN team staff (including training/coaching classroom learning assistants) and coordinate with parents and external agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in special education and teaching certification (educational leadership/management workshops preferred).
  • •5 years’ experience teaching Special Education.
  • •2 years’ senior or middle leadership experience in a similar setting.
  • •Expert knowledge of SEN, EAL, and G&T quality provision and curriculum.
  • •Knowledge of child protection and health and safety, plus strong communication and relationship-management skills.
