Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide clear portfolio, customer, and sector risk reporting to senior management, identifying adverse trends and recommending controls to protect against credit losses.
  • •Contribute to collections, remarketing, and distressed account management by providing credit risk input and supporting recovery strategies in line with approved risk procedures.
  • •Lead, motivate, and develop the direct team by setting priorities, supporting performance, and building succession capability for future credit roles.
  • •Influence internal and external stakeholders to improve systems, processes, products, account management, funding response times, and reporting outputs across Daimler Truck & Bus.
  • •Design, maintain, and document local credit risk processes and manuals to ensure underwriting standards, legal/security documentation, sanctions monitoring, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduate or professional qualification level with significant experience in credit risk analysis, underwriting, or financial services risk management.
  • •Detailed knowledge of automotive, transport and corporate funding markets and the economic/sector factors affecting customer credit risk.
  • •Strong knowledge of company law, lending security, company filing requirements, compliance obligations, and audit standards for commercial funding.
  • •Proven experience leading teams and managing priorities in a specialist credit risk environment.
  • •Experience managing major corporate accounts and high-value lending exposures, including customers in corporate distress and loss-mitigation actions while preserving relationships.
