Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, operate, and maintain microgrids that comprise Starbase, TX.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally, lead projects, and drive continuous improvements at Starbase launch sites.
  • •Perform infrastructure upgrades to dynamically scale systems for Starship production rate targets.
  • •Create and maintain sitewide power budgets, including monitoring and metering for mission-critical assets.
  • •Develop protective relay settings and schemes for high-voltage equipment, while ensuring detailed design and documentation compliance with NFPA/IEEE/NESC standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering discipline.
  • •5+ years of experience in power systems design, analysis, and build focused on high-power, high-voltage systems.
  • •Ability to perform detailed electrical power systems design, including one-lines, three-lines, control/relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, and grounding design.
  • •Familiarity with industrial power systems (up to 345 kV) and components such as switchgear, transformers, BESS, VFDs, motors, distribution systems, UPS/emergency backups, relaying, and metering.
  • •Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies and perform hands-on work in hazardous environments while following PPE requirements.
