•Lead a team of backend and web engineers, mentoring and growing people.
•Work closely with Product to shape what Wise will build next and build the roadmap for the next two quarters.
•Deliver the receive-to-alias experience and related platform work.
•Drive engineering best practices including clean, performant, well-tested code, continuous delivery, and code reviews.
•Join the 24/7 on-call rotation for critical services (normally on-call every 6–10 weeks) and help improve it.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 105,000 - 135,000 annually

•Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot and experience with messaging systems like Kafka (plus relational and non-relational databases is a plus).
