Job Summary

Originate and oversee residential mortgage loan production for Financial Center offices and outside referrals, owning the mortgage process from application through closing. Lead and manage a team of at least 5 Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs), build referral relationships, drive volume growth, and run sales culture activities. Partner with Fulfillment Operations to increase closed volume while ensuring compliance, risk management, and high customer service based on Gallup customer engagement data.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate residential mortgage loans for Financial Center offices and outside referrals, owning the loan from application through closing.
•Develop and foster referral source relationships and build a sales culture focused on team performance and cross-selling.
•Manage day-to-day performance of each MLO, including coaching, performance management, commission administration, and exception time reporting.
•Build strategic and tactical plans to drive volume growth in the assigned area, including business plan reviews and holding sales calls.
•Monitor compliance, risk, and quality; act as an intermediary between processing and underwriting managers for loan issues; ensure high customer service aligned with Gallup data.

Key Requirements

•Manage a team of at least 5 MLOs and drive personal and team mortgage production through KPIs and reporting.
•2-4 years of residential mortgage sales experience, with in-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, closing procedures, and federal lending regulations.
•Demonstrated leadership, organizational, teamwork, customer service, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
•SAFE Act registration through NMLS required at time of employment.
