Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and optimize Bose audio algorithms in Android audio subsystems for capture, playback, mixing, and routing.
  • •Maintain and extend Android audio service frameworks to support new product features and customer requirements.
  • •Evaluate and implement audio feature requirements while ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • •Work extensively with Android audio components such as AudioFlinger, AudioPolicyManager, AudioService, Audio HAL, and Audio Effects Framework.
  • •Troubleshoot complex audio issues including distortion, latency, synchronization, routing, power management, and system stability.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of industry experience in Android audio framework development, embedded audio software development, or related audio system engineering roles.
  • •Strong understanding of the Android audio framework and complete architecture experience, including Android audio components such as AudioService, AudioFlinger, AudioPolicyManager, Audio HAL, and Audio Effects Framework.
  • •Strong proficiency in C/C++ with solid software design and debugging skills.
  • •Experience developing and debugging Linux-based embedded software systems, including familiarity with ALSA audio drivers and Linux audio subsystem architecture.
  • •Ability to perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex system-level issues across audio capture/playback, routing, latency, synchronization, and stability.
