Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, including make-versus-buy input for outsourcing decisions.
  • •Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure and coordinate product development deliverables with buyers, planners, and production control.
  • •Support creation, release, and updates to new project materials strategy, including commercialization (transition) and material change control activities.
  • •Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations (and potentially contracts under direct supervision), using preferred supplier selection/assessment and completing supplier risk assessments.
  • •Resolve supplier quality issues for assigned product groups and generate/publish KPIs while tracking total landed costs targets.
