Key Responsibilities

  • •Build developer-facing Python tooling and libraries that are reliable, well-documented, and broadly adopted by users.
  • •Engage directly with users to understand their needs, gather feedback, and translate it into ergonomic product features.
  • •Collaborate with the in-house teams to ensure the SDK integrates smoothly with Modal’s AI infrastructure and workflows.
  • •Contribute to the design and maintenance of open-source-style components to support the customer community.
  • •Occasionally work in-person in NYC or Stockholm to align with product goals and customer needs.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience developing high-quality Python libraries with broad user-bases, ideally including some experience maintaining open-source software.
