Job Summary

Oversee nonferrous receiving and processing operations to maximize efficiency, quality, and profitability. Coordinate equipment, personnel, shipping, inventory management, and time/weight reporting, while ensuring off-grade materials are handled before shipment. Create and enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures, support training and safety committees, and drive process improvements through best management practices. This role directly supervises employees and partners with commercial and operations teams to meet contractual obligations and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, including OSHA and company safety policies, and create H&S SOPs with regional safety engineers.
•Direct, evaluate, schedule, and coordinate equipment and personnel for daily nonferrous operations, processing, and loading.
•Manage inventory and quality control by evaluating incoming material, meeting contractual quantity/quality obligations, and maintaining inventory controls for WIP.
•Oversee shipping activities, including coordinating material pricing/quotes and coordinating truck fleet dispatch, manifests, and intercompany transfers.
•Supervise and develop department personnel, including safety committee participation, training, reviews, interviewing, and support with job descriptions.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and minimum 3 years of metal recycling industry experience.
•Thorough knowledge of NF Materials Grading and strong judgment, organizational skills, and ability to negotiate.
•Past supervisory experience is a plus, with the ability to review performance of direct reports and interview candidates.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to drive an automobile.
•Ability to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, including safe work practices and training documentation.
