Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, including OSHA and company safety policies, and create H&S SOPs with regional safety engineers.
  • •Direct, evaluate, schedule, and coordinate equipment and personnel for daily nonferrous operations, processing, and loading.
  • •Manage inventory and quality control by evaluating incoming material, meeting contractual quantity/quality obligations, and maintaining inventory controls for WIP.
  • •Oversee shipping activities, including coordinating material pricing/quotes and coordinating truck fleet dispatch, manifests, and intercompany transfers.
  • •Supervise and develop department personnel, including safety committee participation, training, reviews, interviewing, and support with job descriptions.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) and minimum 3 years of metal recycling industry experience.
  • •Thorough knowledge of NF Materials Grading and strong judgment, organizational skills, and ability to negotiate.
  • •Past supervisory experience is a plus, with the ability to review performance of direct reports and interview candidates.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to drive an automobile.
  • •Ability to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, including safe work practices and training documentation.
