Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with applicable state and federal transportation laws and traffic regulations.
  • •Transport loads on required routes in a timely manner while observing all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment, and arrange trailers in shipping yards.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine checks (oil, water, gasoline, air) while reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) or the appropriate chauffeur’s license for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical (trucks are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Follow all safety requirements, including maintaining focus in a busy environment.
  • •Meet physical requirements including prolonged sitting in the cab and the ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds; travel frequently.
