Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle safely and legally, following applicable state and federal transportation regulations.
  • •Transport loads on required routes in a timely manner while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load/unload goods and materials, assist with skids/equipment handling, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, bills of lading) and perform routine service checks; report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state and vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical for vehicles over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
