Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver secure software solutions by using development methodologies and factoring operational security into system design, development, and testing.
  • •Design, develop, test, and document software according to business and industry best practices, using continuous integration where appropriate.
  • •Conduct constructive peer reviews and share knowledge to help deliver high-assurance code as part of a team.
  • •Identify flaws during solution design and implementation and apply appropriate mitigations with a security mindset.
  • •Stay adaptable to emerging technologies, tools, and language trends, assessing associated risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Proficiency with at least one solution language (e.g., C++, Java, C#) and one utility language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Perl, PowerShell).
  • •Familiarity with development tools and techniques such as IDEs, debuggers, source control, unit testing, mocking, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
  • •Knowledge of high-assurance development principles and the importance of IT security for companies and governments.
  • •Intermediate to advanced understanding of computing principles (e.g., stack/heap distinction, compiled/interpreted languages).
  • •Experience mentoring others and/or leading technical tasks, with the ability to communicate technical topics to varied audiences.
