Build and optimize search and recommendation ranking algorithms that improve end-to-end user experience for billions of users. Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and optimize search and recommendation ranking algorithms using information retrieval and machine learning to improve user experience.
•Contribute to optimization of trillion-scale index libraries, trillion-parameter models, and large-scale sparse models.
•Conduct in-depth research into next-generation ranking models using large-model knowledge for search and recommendation.
•Explore technologies including short-video multimodal machine learning, generative models, scaling laws, sparse MoE, and reinforcement learning.
•Build a full-stack search engine system leveraging advanced AI methods for ByteDance’s search business.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science or a related technical field.
•Proficient coding skills and strong algorithms/data structures using C++/Python/Java.
•Solid knowledge of machine learning with practical experience applying it.
•Experience modeling in areas such as ads, search engines, recommender systems, or NLP/CV.
•Strong communication and teamwork skills.
