Job Summary

Prepare quantity take-offs, cost plans and reports for complex construction projects, manage deviations from estimates, assist in cashflow and budgeting, and support value engineering. Work within WSP India’s technical services teams on building, infrastructure and MEP scopes, collaborating across Noida, Bengaluru and Mumbai offices in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for all trades (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) from contract drawings and specifications.
•Maintain current construction cost data based on historical costs, market research, cost indices and computerized estimating systems.
•Prepare quantities for cost plans at various stages (order-of-magnitude, conceptual, feasibility, pre-development) including value engineering and major variations.
•Prepare quantity take-off for buildings and structures, for MEPF works and operating system elements related to new construction, repair and renovation projects.
•Prepare quantity variance reports at different stages of cost planning, including bid analysis and cost reduction strategies.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree preferably Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
•Registration and professional certification in associated organizations or institutions such as RICS or CIOB is mandatory
•8 to 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting firm and/or general contracting or QS firms
•Proven skills in the application of practices and procedures involved in the quantity surveying function and preparation of quantities for all trades and disciplines involved in complex construction projects
•Understanding of the Capital Budget process and the budgeting methodology dealing with cash flow and escalation indices
