Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide daily site inspections of contractors’ work to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications and maintain up-to-date project records.
  • •Conduct routine field tests on construction materials such as slump test, air content test, and compaction tests.
  • •Measure and record material placed for periodic contractor payments.
  • •Prepare daily inspection reports/logs including employees on site, work performed, materials used, weather conditions, accidents, and equipment use.
  • •Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to the Owner and coordinate with utilities and local/state/federal agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma and 5 years of experience in construction.
  • •Experience in field inspection, or construction supervision of civil works projects (earthwork, roads, utilities, infrastructure, bridges, paving, drainage, etc.).
  • •Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, and construction testing/inspection procedures, including use of nuclear gauges, concrete sampling, and construction safety.
  • •MARTCP Certifications, OSHA 10, and Erosion and Sediment (E&S) Certifications preferred.
  • •Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, ability to pass a background check, and strong written/verbal communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
