Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and promote Tyson’s safety culture.
  • •Visually inspect floor equipment and make adjustments when needed.
  • •Monitor and operate all equipment in the feather room, including conveyors, screens, metal detector, dryer, and batch hydrolyzers (if applicable).
  • •Maintain a clean work area using soap and a high-pressure hose.
  • •May operate front-end loader or forklift and complete required logs; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 6 months’ work history with one employer within the past 12 months.
  • •Prefer 3 consecutive months of Operator experience within the last 2 years.
  • •Must be able to perform physical requirements including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, and working in extreme hot/cold and inclement weather.
  • •Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions.
  • •Must be able to read and complete required logs, and communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio.
