Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain a master regulatory tracker and act as the primary point of contact for regulator (HSA/CBUAE) traffic.
  • •Prepare executive summaries and gap assessments for new regulations, standards, and guidelines; coordinate timely communication and handholding to stakeholders.
  • •Oversee governance and compliance activities including monthly exception reporting, business impact analysis/BCM, and annual divisional systems access review.
  • •Lead risk control self-assessment testing, including RCSA execution and Prism adequacy reviews; maintain RCSA archives.
  • •Manage Islamic banking and Shari’ah training: learning needs assessments, training plans, LMS updates, and provision of training MIS on demand.

Key Requirements

  • •10-12 years of experience in governance, operations, audit, or compliance, preferably in an Islamic bank or window with regulator exposure.
  • •Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Business or Accounting.
  • •Understanding of AAOIFI Shari’ah Standards and significant exposure to Shari’ah principles via studies, courses, or on-job learning.
  • •Preferably hold AAOIFI CSAA.
  • •Strong communication and writing skills; proficient with MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
