Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee and direct operations for above-ground and underground aggregates mining, including personnel, equipment, trucking, and materials.
  • •Ensure operations comply with federal and state regulations (OSHA, MSHA, DEP) and with company safety practices and procedures.
  • •Supervise and direct facility personnel to ensure proper placement of resources and enforce company policies, procedures, and work rules.
  • •Identify and resolve regulatory, safety, personnel, and production problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • •Collaborate with Quality Control on specification requirements and track/report fuel usage, hour meter readings, and mileage reporting for equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or two to four years of related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination).
  • •Maintain a Mine Foreman certification from the Ohio Department of Mineral Resource Management.
  • •Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; draft routine reports and correspondence.
  • •Ability to plan, assign, and direct work and effectively manage employee performance through coaching, feedback, rewards, and discipline.
  • •Willingness to travel/work away from home when required and work nights and weekends as necessary.
