Key Responsibilities

•Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences and personalize instruction based on student mastery.
•Monitor and manage student progress in Stride K12’s learning management system, including maintaining grade book and supporting placement/promotion decisions.
•Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
•Build and maintain positive rapport with families and learning coaches/parents, communicating and responding in a timely manner.
•Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues, including basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree.
•Active state teaching license with a Health/PE endorsement (North Carolina Teaching Certification Required).
•Must be able to clear the required background check.
•Ability to work independently in a professional home office during the workday (typically 9-5 or 8-4).
•Experience teaching online and/or in a virtual and/or brick-and-mortar environment.
