Key Responsibilities

  • •Procure raw materials and injection molding-related items, including engineering plastics, polymers, masterbatches, additives, packaging materials, molds, dies, and machine spares.
  • •Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors; obtain quotations and compare prices while analyzing commercial terms to prepare comparative statements.
  • •Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and annual rate contracts with suppliers.
  • •Interpret BOMs, technical drawings, material specifications, and process requirements for molded components; coordinate with production, maintenance, tooling, quality, and design teams.
  • •Support inventory optimization and reduction of slow-moving items; generate purchase requisitions/orders and maintain procurement, contract, supplier agreement, and certification records.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • •4–8 years of experience in procurement or purchase engineering, preferably in an injection molding, plastics, or manufacturing environment.
  • •Experience purchasing polymer raw materials, molds, tooling, and machine spares, preferably in an automotive tier 1 environment.
  • •Familiarity with injection molding processes, mold components, and plastic part manufacturing.
  • •ERP systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and exposure to vendor development and technical sourcing.
