Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct portfolio priorities and manage programs/work efforts including planning, execution, budget, delivery health, and reporting.
  • •Govern low to highly complex function/line of business/USAA-level portfolios and ensure governance routines and risk/dependency escalation.
  • •Resolve cross-work dependency issues and systemic portfolio risks, escalating to executive/senior management as needed.
  • •Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and management tools to communicate portfolio status and ensure timely execution.
  • •Coordinate portfolio critical path by managing scheduling, interdependencies, scope changes, and change-management adoption aligned with USAA methodology.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • •8 years of progressive program or portfolio management experience, including process improvement/consulting for large strategic efforts.
  • •2 years of experience leading across complex organizational lines in a matrix structure.
  • •3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
  • •Certified Project Manager (CPM), Lean Portfolio Management Certification, or PMP (or gain one within 6 months), plus advanced understanding of project, program, and portfolio management principles.
