Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the senior technical advisor (SME) to resolve technical and complex escalations with standard and non-standard solutions.
  • •Lead network innovation to improve network performance and reliability by identifying systemic inefficiencies, performing root-cause analysis, and recommending transformations.
  • •Oversee and manage major projects, ensuring network designs and changes are reviewed and properly executed.
  • •Provide mentorship and technical guidance to networking engineers, including development of training plans and refinement of engineering SOPs, processes, and best practices.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional partners and program leads to align designs, requirements, and implementations across programs, including briefing leadership and participating in design forums.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 7 years experience.
  • •Experience as a network engineer for classified, enterprise-class Cisco-based LAN/WAN with deep Layer 2 and Layer 3 knowledge.
  • •Experience with boundary protection technologies (preferably Palo Alto).
  • •Certification meeting 8570 IAT Level III or 8140 Advanced (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, or CASP+) and professional- or expert-level Cisco networking certification (e.g., CCNP or CCIE).
  • •Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start (U.S. citizenship required for eligibility).
