Key Responsibilities

  • •Co-define commodity strategy, multi-year technology roadmaps, and approved vendor lists for rack-level cooling and mechanicals, forecasting 12–24 months ahead.
  • •Own global end-to-end sourcing, including supplier selection, qualification, dual/multi-sourcing, capacity reservation, and performance governance to achieve on-time delivery and lead-time compression.
  • •Define and negotiate SOWs and commercial agreements, secure aggressive pricing and manufacturing capacity, and drive value engineering without compromising structural, leak, and thermal standards.
  • •Act as the supplier interface for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, and visit factories to assess processes, leak-test capability, financial health, and capacity before awarding contracts.
  • •Standardize NPI-to-mass-production, optimize inventory/WIP (including consignment and JIT), set weekly KPIs (cost, quality, speed, leak/yield, resilience), and lead supplier innovation programs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in business, manufacturing, supply chain, or engineering; or 9+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • •4+ years of experience in global supply chain, commodity management, or mechanical sourcing focused on racks, cabinets, sheet metal, manifolds, or datacenter cooling hardware.
  • •Deep technical understanding of datacenter rack mechanicals (OCP/EIA frames, doors, seismic kits) and in-rack cooling (RDHx, manifolds, dripless QDs, leak containment).
  • •Proven track record sourcing rack, sheet-metal, or liquid-cooling commodities at hyperscale, rack OEMs, or cooling/mechanical suppliers.
  • •Experience negotiating complex SOWs and driving results in ambiguous, high-velocity environments with extreme timelines and massive scale.
