Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in drafting, negotiation and management of various commercial agreements, and provide product and sales support for payment solutions.
  • •Monitor and assist with litigation across Canada and the United States, liaising with external counsel as needed.
  • •Interact daily with Operations, Compliance, Sales, Marketing and Finance to meet legal needs.
  • •Advise cross-functionally on product constructs and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
  • •Ensure timely handling of issues within deadlines and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Salary: CAD 140,000 - 165,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec or in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • •At least 3 years of relevant experience in commercial and transactional law.
  • •Experience in drafting and reviewing information technology contracts and knowledge of applicable laws in the payment services industry.
  • •Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • •Knowledge of PIPEDA, GDPR, and protection of personal data is an asset.
