•Lead and provide expert legal support on complex banking transactions, including syndicated loans and structured finance deals.
•Draft, review, and negotiate financing documentation to ensure compliance with UAE and international banking laws and regulations.
•Advise on regulatory and legal risks for corporate & investment banking and international banking groups.
•Represent Mashreq in high-level meetings with clients, regulators, and industry bodies.
•Manage external counsel and contribute to legal policies and strategies while mentoring junior legal staff.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent with strong academic background.
•Admission to the bar or equivalent legal qualification in the UAE is mandatory.
•Minimum 8-10 years of experience as legal counsel, preferably in banking and finance.
•Deep expertise in UAE and international banking laws and financial services regulation.
•Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
