Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, maintain, install, update, and secure network environments across multiple enclaves with varying security classifications.
  • •Serve as SME for Cisco-based networking and security, including configuring and reconfiguring network applications and managing LAN/WAN environments.
  • •Lead projects with minimal oversight to ensure network devices and applications are patched, secure, and operating efficiently.
  • •Perform DISA STIG validations, manage cable systems, monitor security posture using ACAS, and use Splunk and other network/security tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • •IAW DoD 8140.03-M must meet the Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications.
  • •Hold at least one 8570 IAT-II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).
  • •Maintain a current Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) certification.
  • •At least 5 years of DoD network engineering experience (or 8 years total), including experience managing Cisco routers/switches and Cisco security/firewall platforms (Firepower, ACI, ISE) plus tools such as Splunk, ACAS, and WhatsUpGold.
