Key Responsibilities

  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring accurate data and submission reviews.
  • •Produce and present final cost plans, provide cost planning and estimate updates, and reconcile changes with the general contractor.
  • •Coordinate cost information sources for cost discussions with NPA, subcontractors, and A/Es, and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
  • •Manage cost checks, valuations, post-contract cost variances, change control processes, contingency management, and commitment tracking.
  • •Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate value engineering (VE) sessions; compile monthly cost reports and support final accounts negotiation; coach and mentor talent.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it (preferred).
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects with medium to high complexity.
  • •Strong construction cost/technical knowledge, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering, plus excellent communication skills.
