Job Function: Industrial, Process & Manufacturing Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Develop disk hardware through Forge and Heat Treat processes; perform finite element analysis to define forging, heat treating, and tooling shapes utilizing DEFORM software; create engineering drawings for raw material, laboratory testing sample locations, and forge tooling
•Analyze survey data to ensure parts meet required mechanical properties; follow parts through gated development process phases from product definition to delivery; be responsible for all aspects of part maturation from raw material to end use
•Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio
•Provide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets
•Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of aerospace disk forgings; assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigation

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in engineering and 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality or similar environment OR a Master’s degree and 3 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality or similar environment
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
•Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a constantly fluctuating work environment
•U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving process improvements
