Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and rapidly deploy software for satellites and ground systems to automate fault detection, response, and operational workflows.
  • •Build and improve ground software to manage vehicle state, streamline commanding, support deorbits, and enable real-time anomaly triage.
  • •Develop operational processes, strategies, and automation for new hardware versions, new satellite capabilities, and performance targets.
  • •Detect and triage emerging anomalies on satellite bus and payload hardware and command orbital assets in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • •Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, electrical, GNC, network, and test engineers to deliver high-reliability connectivity and tools for upgrades.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, robotics, physics, or a related STEM field.
  • •1+ years of professional software development experience, with Python and/or C++ strongly preferred.
  • •Experience building software that interacts with hardware such as robotics, embedded systems, control systems, or test automation.
  • •Ability to work on-call on a weeklong rotational schedule.
  • •Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
