Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the delivery, quality, and technical direction of the fraud and risk decisioning platform, including the health and velocity of the team(s).
  • •Set the technical vision for fraud detection and prevention using fast, accurate, explainable, data- and ML-driven decisioning at scale.
  • •Build a high-performing engineering culture with clear ownership, priorities, and competency expectations.
  • •Directly manage, mentor, and grow engineers and tech leads; define growth paths and help drive promotion through operating at level.
  • •Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Security leadership to keep clear lines between real-time fraud detection and financial-crime governance as the org scales.

  • •Track record leading and growing engineering teams with clear ownership of delivery health and people development.
  • •Domain judgment in fraud, risk, financial crime, trust & safety, or other real-time high-stakes decisioning areas, including latency and false-positive/false-negative trade-offs.
  • •Technical depth to set direction across data pipelines, model-driven decisioning, and fraud-capability infrastructure (clean data through graph/ML, streaming/batch, MLOps).
  • •Sound judgment on build-vs-buy for high-stakes regulated systems, including when to use vendors.
  • •High proficiency using AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or Claude) and experience championing AI-native ways of working with focus on quality and safety.
