Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end land development delivery from concept design through construction and municipal acceptance for residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, and road/municipal reserve & park developments.
  • •Guide technical design for stormwater management, grading, drainage, water and sanitary servicing, roadway/access design, and utility coordination.
  • •Oversee and review engineering drawings, reports, models, and submissions to ensure alignment with municipal and provincial standards.
  • •Champion sustainable design by integrating Low Impact Development (LID), green stormwater systems, and climate-resilient infrastructure principles.
  • •Provide construction-phase leadership (field reviews, shop drawing approvals, RFI responses, technical issue resolution, and certification documentation) and mentor intermediate engineers, technologists, and EITs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma.
  • •10+ years of progressive experience in land development design, preferably within Alberta municipalities.
  • •Registered (or eligible for registration) with APEGA or ASET as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Technologist (P.Tech.(Eng.)) in Alberta.
  • •Strong technical capabilities with Civil 3D and other design modeling tools (e.g., PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, EPANET).
  • •Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
