Key Responsibilities

  • •Translate customer needs into actionable AV system designs and detailed documentation (including BOMs, block diagrams, infrastructure plans, and scopes of work).
  • •Support pre-sales and proposal efforts by assessing requirements, estimating labor and materials, and communicating technical risks and dependencies.
  • •Collaborate with vendors, architects, consultants, and contractors to align designs with project constraints during design development.
  • •Provide technical input during implementation as the “design authority,” supporting project teams as needed.
  • •Review and validate designs from junior engineers and provide feedback while sharing best practices to improve team skills and design standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong business acumen and understanding of the audio-visual industry, including trends, standards, and customer expectations.
  • •Leadership capabilities, including mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • •Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to independently address risks effectively.
  • •Experience conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including clients, project managers, and field teams.
  • •Proficiency in designing/configuring AV systems, including IP networking (AVoIP) and familiarity with AV/IT standards such as AVIXA and ANSI/TIA.
