Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end accounting for foreign-currency transactions, balances, exposures, and Treasury-driven FX activity across multiple entities and ledgers.
  • •Manage FX close activities and review/approve FX-related journal entries, including revaluations, realized/unrealized gains and losses, derivatives, and hedge-related entries.
  • •Oversee accounting for FX derivatives and hedge-related matters, including valuation/revaluation, settlements, documentation, effectiveness assessment, and proper presentation across financial statements.
  • •Develop and maintain visibility into material FX exposure and reconcile data between Treasury systems/banks/subledgers/consolidation systems and the general ledger.
  • •Design and maintain internal controls, audit-ready documentation, and governance for exchange rates, reconciliations, valuations, and hedge-related processes; support remediation and process improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • •At least 6–12 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, FX accounting, Treasury accounting, financial controllership, or similar.
  • •Strong understanding of foreign-currency accounting, including transaction-currency accounting, functional-currency considerations, revaluation, and realized/unrealized FX gains and losses.
  • •Practical experience with FX derivatives (forwards, options, swaps) and their accounting implications, plus knowledge of hedge accounting principles, documentation, and effectiveness assessment.
  • •Strong experience with month-end close, journal-entry review, balance-sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting in a multinational environment.
