Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out hands-on inspection of bridge structures throughout the United Kingdom.
  • •Work across a mix of remote work, office presence, and field work.
  • •Support the Bridges & Structures team based in Birmingham, including working a minimum of 2 days per week in the Birmingham office.
  • •Produce drawings, risk assessments, and inspection reporting.
  • •Apply strong technical bridge engineering knowledge to deliver accurate, high-quality inspection outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • •Experience (or demonstrated equivalency) in a relevant field.
  • •Lantra BICS accreditation beneficial.
  • •Confined Space Training beneficial.
  • •Strong bridge engineering technical skills with a “right first time” approach, plus experience producing drawings, risk assessments, and reporting.
