Job Summary

Underwrite large new and renewal power and onshore renewables accounts within Allianz Commercial’s Onshore Energy Natural Resources team. Grow the power/renewables portfolio by negotiating pricing, participation, and terms with brokers while managing capacity. Ensure underwriting follows governance frameworks and produce contract certainty and accurate policy documentation. Partner in a global matrix to deliver Line of Business targets and help coach less experienced underwriters.

Key Responsibilities

•Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to achieve top and bottom-line targets regionally and globally.
•Grow the Power and Onshore Renewables portfolio and increase Allianz’s presence in these markets.
•Negotiate participation, pricing, and terms and conditions with brokers, proactively managing capacity.
•Underwrite in line with Line of Business governance, including Underwriting Authorities and Guidelines.
•Train, develop, and coach less experienced staff and represent Allianz Commercial externally with key brokers and distribution channels.

Key Requirements

•Experience underwriting successful business in the Power Generation or Onshore Renewables market, with knowledge of sub-line products and portfolios.
•Established relationships with brokers at the peer group level and strong market connectivity.
•Knowledge of regional/local insurance markets and the competitive landscape.
•Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework and the ability to assess risks and manage exposures.
•Ability to draft and interpret contracts with strong analytical skills and comfort using AI-driven insights.
