Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently perform concrete, steel, and masonry inspections in buildings using structural drawing, shop drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
  • •Under minimal supervision, perform basic inspections of proposed and existing site conditions.
  • •Coordinate with engineers on field issues, providing sound engineering judgment and escalating differences, errors, or technical problems for resolution.
  • •Assist with verifying structural plans and specifications and reviewing structural plans and shop drawings.
  • •Generate complete, accurate inspection documentation and specifications related to findings using electronic systems, reports, and photographs, while complying with contract procedures and safety guidelines.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma and 0-2 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior construction inspection experience.
  • •Valid state driver’s license.
  • •OSHA 10 hour safety certification.
  • •Highly familiar with construction inspection principles and field inspection practices, methods, and techniques.
  • •Highly familiar with relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
