Key Responsibilities

  • •Own technical strategy and delivery for applications and plugins integrating data synchronization into defense situational awareness tools.
  • •Architect and develop performant Android applications and services for disconnected, intermittent, and low-bandwidth (DIL) tactical environments.
  • •Drive end-to-end integration architecture between the Ditto platform and the TAK ecosystem, defining data contracts and API boundaries.
  • •Act as a senior escalation point to diagnose and resolve complex application, integration, and data-flow issues in live operational environments.
  • •Provide technical mentorship by reviewing designs/code and elevating team depth in Android, ATAK/TAK, and integration architecture.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of software engineering experience building, shipping, and maintaining production applications at scale.
  • •4+ years of mobile development experience with the Android SDK and deep familiarity with Kotlin and/or Java.
  • •Strong integration design skills, including defining API contracts and designing data synchronization patterns with loosely coupled systems.
