Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare feasibility study reports and review scope of work with the Local GCC Head.
  • •Gather and monitor design specifications with the WSP UK team to ensure timely delivery.
  • •Carry out detailed design to UK industry regulations and relevant codes, including CDM, QA, and technical review/sign-off for complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • •Support tender document preparation by providing documentary information and keeping the WSP UK team updated on design progress and decisions.
  • •Use BIM and model review processes (BIM Track, CAD/Navisworks walkthroughs) to raise/track comments and clashes, delegate tasks, mentor juniors, and manage design-related queries and risk issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (minimum).
  • •Minimum 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.
  • •Hands-on experience on industry projects such as process industries, pharmaceuticals, clean room design, and refineries.
  • •Strong working knowledge of ASME, ISHRAE, ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, and CIBSE, including UK building/industry codes as advantageous.
  • •Hands-on experience preparing design calculations using tools such as Bluebeam, PDF Exchanger, AutoCAD, Revit, and (advantageous) BIM 360/ACC, plus regular design reviews.
