Job Summary

Lead resident product engineering activities for stator/rotor assemblies in the plant, solving complex component and system problems using data-driven root-cause analysis. Own design-intent assembly requirements, process flow implementation, and assembly drawing enforcement, while supporting prototypes, product launches, concessions, and high-volume production ramps. Evaluate process capability (Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk) and control charts, drive product change management, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to improve manufacturability and robustness.

Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Solve complex stator/rotor component and system problems using standard problem-solving techniques and data-driven root-cause analysis to prevent issues from process deviations and critical quality problems.
  • •Establish technical depth for troubleshooting stator and rotor sub-assemblies and their interfaces with manufacturing process variables; set up process flow and enforce design-intent assembly requirements and assembly drawings.
  • •Support prototype builds for compatibility with manufacturing process/equipment, and support product launches including part concession deviations for E-motor assembly; help execute high-volume production ramp activities.
  • •Evaluate Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk, and control charts; assess correlations between process parameters and product performance and provide plant feedback to recommend design changes for manufacturability, quality, serviceability, and robustness.
  • •Lead technical discussions across Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supplier Quality, Production, Maintenance, Controls, and Equipment Engineering; mentor technicians and less-experienced engineers and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into improvement plans and future product/process standards.
