Job Summary

Generate growth by building a pipeline of new business opportunities and managing a renewal portfolio for upper mid-market, large, and multinational clients in the Quebec Region Casualty team. Proactively pursue renewals and new accounts through assessments, qualifying opportunities, and broker/customer calls, then negotiate terms and close deals. Cross-sell lines of business, calculate target price using underwriting tools, analyze exposure and risk, and lead underwriting-related presentations and long-term projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities and complete detailed opportunity assessments with distributors to identify growth opportunities.
•Qualify accounts for the organization’s appetite, make planned broker/customer and on-site calls, and negotiate terms and conditions to close deals.
•Manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities 90 to 120 days prior to effective dates, update required systems with visit details and account status, and serve as key contact for target accounts.
•Calculate target price using underwriting tools, measure exposure/analyze risk, and provide expertise on coverage issues with claims programs and guidelines.
•Develop and lead marketing presentations, cross-sell other lines of business, contribute to underwriting manuals and guidelines, and lead longer-term technical projects when needed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 110,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Commercial Underwriting or a Market Facing area.
•Alternatively: High school diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in Commercial Claims or Commercial Underwriting Support.
•French proficiency is mandatory; English proficiency is an asset.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working on quote timing for new and renewal business.
•Experience working in a team environment.
