Job Summary

Serve as a Senior UI/UX subject matter expert, applying Human-Centered Design and design thinking to produce interface specifications for development teams. Lead UX research planning and outcomes, facilitate discovery and synthesis activities, and create personas, journey maps, and usability testing insights. Design low- and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and complex UI components, and establish UX frameworks and templates so products are intuitive, accessible, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide UX/HCD subject matter expertise and strategic guidance grounded in design thinking, including user research, personas, journey mapping, prototyping, and usability evaluation.
•Create and deliver UX research plans and outcomes, including recruiting needs, hypotheses, methodology, synthesis, and next steps.
•Facilitate discovery activities (e.g., generative research, feature/content/information architecture/accessibility reviews) and produce UX research checklists.
•Design and deliver UI work products (low-/high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, interactive web forms, dynamic forms, cards, and drag-and-drop components) and update them based on testing and stakeholder feedback.
•Define and maintain UX frameworks/templates for developers, apply research insights to requirements (epics and user stories), and communicate findings through multiple formats.

Key Requirements

•MA/MS plus 10+ years of general experience in information systems with 8+ years of specialized experience (or equivalent years by education).
•Experience in front-end development, specifically ReactJS and JavaScript development.
•Familiarity with UX, information architecture, content strategy, and best practices in health literacy and user-centered design.
•Experience with UX research and analysis, including user interviews/surveys, personas, journey mapping, and heuristic/competitive evaluations.
•Detailed knowledge of Section 508 requirements and experience designing interfaces to be 508 compliant.
