Key Responsibilities

  • •Own backend features end to end, including requirements, schema changes, development, deployment, and production monitoring.
  • •Develop and maintain backend functionality within a mature PHP/Laravel application in a high-volume multi-tenant SaaS environment.
  • •Build and maintain third-party integrations using webhook receivers, polling jobs, and parsers to normalize inconsistent and unreliable vendor data.
  • •Design and maintain asynchronous/queue-based workflows, including retries, idempotency, duplicate handling, failure management, and dead-letter queue troubleshooting.
  • •Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries; investigate complex production and data issues across multiple systems and observability tools.

Salary: USD 2,600 monthly

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of professional backend development experience.
  • •3+ years building production backend systems with PHP and a modern PHP framework; Laravel strongly preferred.
  • •Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • •Hands-on experience with queues/background jobs, retries, idempotency, duplicate handling, failures, and timeouts.
  • •Experience with production debugging and database performance optimization (schema/indexing/query optimization; EXPLAIN).
