Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, manage, and review process element design for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, including site surveys and coordination with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • •Carry out hydraulic assessments and calculations, capacity assessments and basis of design development, and develop process equipment designs with mass/energy balances and headloss/pumping system analysis.
  • •Produce and review process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, Hazardous Area Classification, and Layer of Protection Analysis (LoPA), and prepare technical specifications and reports.
  • •Participate in safety reviews including HAZOP and HAZID, and ensure designs meet national and international design standards across project stages.
  • •Lead bid and proposal preparation, review/verify client deliverables (calculations, drawings, and technical reports), delegate tasks, and mentor junior staff while supporting delivery within budgets and timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive design experience managing technical delivery of large-scale water engineering projects with multi-disciplinary knowledge.
  • •BEng or MEng in a related engineering field with experience in water and wastewater treatment.
  • •Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
  • •Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring, and line management.
  • •Strong collaboration and coordination skills with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
