Key Responsibilities

  • •Assemble PCBs into product chassis and support final vehicle integration by installing electrical sub-assemblies and routing cables/harnesses.
  • •Assemble electro-mechanical components, fabricate high-quality cable and wire harnesses, and perform electro-mechanical/circuit board build activities.
  • •Operate complex automated equipment, including routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • •Perform functional testing of built hardware using setups, instrumentation, test execution, report creation/upload, and teardown.
  • •Document anomalies/non-conformities with associated rework, help develop production processes for first-time production, and instruct/mentor junior avionics technicians.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent) and 5+ years of hands-on technician experience in aerospace, aviation, military, telecommunications, or similar industries.
  • •Hands-on working knowledge of PCB work, cable/harness fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, integration assemblies, and prototype development.
  • •Experience assembling operations including crimping, soldering/reflowing, bending/stripping, and torquing with strong dexterity and attention to detail.
  • •Ability to read and work from controlled technical documentation such as engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly/manufacturing instructions.
  • •Manufacturing/soldering to NASA workmanship standards using IPC-J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610, plus IPC-A-620 for cable/harness fabrication (or equivalent).
