Conduct complex structural analysis and engineering designs for submarine structures within the Production Engineering Department. Partner with a dual-function team of designers and engineers to assess requirements that support the build process, develop equipment, and provide operational and production support for safety-critical systems. Apply Eurocodes, British Standards, and analytical methods such as FEA and CAD modelling, including handling constraints for shipping, alignment, and installation. Contribute to concept drawings and technical deliverables for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct complex structural analysis and designs in accordance with Eurocodes and standards.
•Apply regulations including LOLER, compliance codes, weld specs, and tolerances.
•Use analytical methods such as FEA, CAD modelling, and schematic interpretation to support assessments.
•Support manufacturing, assembly, lifting, handling, and installation of submarine structures and components.
•Contribute to concept drawings, layouts, and technical deliverables aligned to project requirements.

Key Requirements

•Engineering degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent) or HND with extensive Civil/Mechanical/Structural experience.
•Experience undertaking hand analysis and design techniques with report writing.
•Strong understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards.
•Knowledge of mechanical engineering and structural steelwork, including lifting/handling and LOLER.
•Ability to apply analytical methods such as FEA and CAD modelling plus interpret schematics.
