Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for complex construction management projects by overseeing structures-related construction engineering and inspection activities. Review and inspect plans and calculations (e.g., falsework, shoring, bridge removal), resolve field issues, and coordinate meetings across owners, contractors, utilities, and project parties. Conduct material testing inspections, analyze changed-condition costs, draft change orders, and prepare constructability reviews while supervising inspection personnel and supporting contract administration and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide structures-related quality assurance and technical leadership for construction engineering and inspection activities.
•Review and inspect plans and calculations for falsework, shoring, staging, bridge removal, and other technical submissions.
•Respond to field construction issues, coordinate meetings between contractors and project stakeholders, and represent projects at meetings and conferences.
•Inspect, document, and coordinate field testing of construction materials; apply diversified construction engineering judgment on significant problems.
•Supervise field inspection/field office personnel and support contract administration, inspection, testing, surveying, quality control, and constructability reviews.

Key Requirements

•BS in Civil/Structures-related engineering (BSCE or related degree).
•Current California PE license and valid CA driver’s license.
•Minimum 12 years of experience, including 5 years as a Structures Representative.
•Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and construction materials.
•Experience working with railroads and strong written and verbal communication; must pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
