Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the chemical processing plant day to day to safely meet area quality and production targets within Hydroxide Line 2.
  • •Collect and interpret process information, troubleshoot issues, and make process changes as needed per standard operating procedures.
  • •Complete applicable permits and job walk-downs for Maintenance and Contractor work (including Lockout/Tag-out, Safe Work, and Confined Space Entry).
  • •Participate in the Behavior-Based Safety program and perform productivity maintenance tasks using basic hand tools.
  • •Drive forklift to move material, sample and test process samples (using LQM) and request required tests, making required adjustments.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience (or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience).
  • •Technical diploma, associate degree, or certification in Chemical Process Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • •Ability to operate multiple circuits and run area equipment (including the ability to run more than one unit at a time when required).
  • •Strong troubleshooting skills using logic and appropriate methods to solve difficult problems.
  • •Knowledge of RCRA/Hazardous Waste handling, including waste accumulation, labeling, dating, closure, transfers, storage, and spill response.
